Lehigh Little League was founded in 1952 and incorporated in 1953. Comprised of only two fields, the first complex was located at 14th and Gary Streets in West Bethlehem. At that time, there was no girls' program. The boys' program consisted of Minor, Farm, and Major Divisions.

After a one year move to Central Park in West Bethlehem, the League moved to its current site at Illick's Mill Road. The League has been located there for approximatley 30 years.

The League has grown to five divisions for Boys' Baseball and five divisions for Girls' Softball. An Instructional League serves both boys and girls for tee ball.

In 2001, the League opened its new state-of-the-art Junior / Senior Baseball complex. The "Gene Ashner Field of Dreams" complex consists of a combination concession / meeting room / restroom building and a regulation baseball field with two oversize dugouts and an irrigation system. The building was dedicated and named the "Joyce Ashner Fieldhouse." The field is well lit for night games.
